Staying at Home, Staying Yourself

For many people living with dementia, home is where they feel most secure. Familiar rooms, belongings and routines can bring comfort and help reduce confusion and anxiety.

Our carers help the person you love keep living well at home. We take time to understand their life story, personality and the things that bring them joy, then shape every visit around them. We focus on what they can still do, not what they cannot, and we treat them with patience, warmth and respect.

Dementia care is part of our wider domiciliary care service, so it can include personal care, medication support, meals and companionship in one joined up plan.

How We Support People Living With Dementia

  • Knowing the Person

We learn their life story, likes and dislikes so conversation and care feel natural and personal.

  • Calm Daily Routines

Gentle, predictable routines help the day feel familiar and reduce anxiety.

  • Personal Care With Patience

Unhurried help with washing, dressing and eating, always encouraging independence.

  • Medication Support

Prompting and, where authorised, administration so medicines are taken safely.

  • A Safer Home

Keeping walkways clear, noticing risks and helping the home stay safe and easy to navigate.

  • Meaningful Activity

Music, photographs, walks and hobbies that bring comfort, connection and a sense of purpose.

A Day That Feels Familiar

Every plan is built around the person, but a day with Springlite Care might look like this:

  • Morning

A gentle start: help getting up, washing and dressing in favourite clothes, breakfast and morning medication.

  • Midday

A nourishing lunch, plenty of drinks, a chat and a familiar activity such as music or looking at photographs.

  • Afternoon

Fresh air, a short walk or time in the garden, and company to help the afternoon pass calmly.

  • Evening

A quiet evening meal, medication and a settling routine to help prepare for a restful night.

You Are Not Doing This Alone

Caring for someone living with dementia can be tiring and emotional. We support the whole family, not just the person receiving care.

  • Regular Updates. We keep you informed in the way that suits you, so you always know how things are going.

  • Your Knowledge Matters. You know your loved one best, and we build your insight into their care plan.

  • Time for Yourself. Knowing a trusted carer is there gives you the chance to rest, work or simply be family again.

  • Guidance and Signposting. We can point you towards local and national dementia support services when you need more help.

Care That Adapts as Needs Change

Dementia affects everyone differently and needs often change over time. We review care plans regularly and adjust visits, support and routines as things change, working closely with your GP, memory service and social worker where appropriate.

We will always talk openly with you about what support is right. If a time comes when more specialist care is needed, we will help you understand the options.
